There are several music download sites online, though the lawfulness of a number of these services is debatable and the corporations that produce CDs and records are endeavoring to close some down.

The idea these sites use to explain what they do is that of file sharing between individual members.

Plenty of the music files have viruses in them, occasionally purposively put there. A lot more files contain spy-ware, giving the supplier access to information on your Web use or files on your personal computer. Some of the download sites themselves install spy-ware on your PC and then sell the data gathered to 3rd party users. Better, doubtless, to pay the little monthly download charge from paying sites and download your MP3 music legally and in safety. This way the artist gets rewarded for their effort, and it only appears OK to pay them for the entertainment they give us. If you like an artist or group then give them encouragement to supply more music of the same type by paying the tiny charge that’s asked, and stay legal at the exact same time.
